Well here is our new hobby! The redo of a 67 Shasta Compact. It isnt a restoration but rather our vision of what we would have wanted back in the day. It gives my yard sale/thrift store/flea marketing a purpose too!

This is just a way for everyone to keep up with what we are doing with it.

The kids are so excited and already driving me nuts to get it done so they can camp out in it. I think this is going to be a blast for all of us.

So stay tuned I will be updating as I go along and you never know what we might do to it!

Paint!

Started painting the inside after much though~ I had a hard time deciding whether or not to paint the paneling or not but after asking everyones opinion I decided to just go for it :-) if we are going to use it why cringe everytime I see it LOL

But anyways I got all the hardware off and got the first coat on I think one more coat of primer and we will be ready for the regular paint I think I am going to just go with white on the walls and add color with the decorations that way nothing will be too overpowering and if I dont like something it will be a LOT easier to change than to repaint.

I did find one odd thing~ the base for the table had been moved to one side about 8 inches so I havent decided whether or not to remove it altogether since the table is virtually impossible to find and in such a little space it would take up a considerable amount of room.

Hopefully tomorrow I will finish up the painting inside then the task of figuring out the accent color for the exterior. I have decided to try the $50 paint job with rustoluem that is on the Classis Shasta group I dont think that I can do anything to make it worse
